Gross motor and speech delay

Hi, I’ve never posted on mumsnet before, but I’m quite desperate for advice.
Our 2 year old daughter has been referred to GOSH because of gross motor delay and speech delay. This whole procedure began back in March when she was 18 months old but obviously everything was delayed because of Covid. We now anticipate an even longer wait to get seen at gosh. They suspect something neurological and so will do an mri scan and a range of blood tests to rule out anything genetic)

We have had a few sessions with the physio in person and since then my daughter is beginning to weight bare ... though reluctantly. She doesn’t crawl or roll but it is a very proficient bum shuffler and actually surprisingly strong. The physio thinks it’s not a physical reason she delayed ... but would not give any of her suspicions as to why she is delayed away.
Blood tests for the genetics aren’t until the end of November ....
She has been refused speech therapy as she is not old enough. Though we are on the waiting list for audiology.

My question is should I be pushing more?? Or should we see someone privately, but then who? A neurologist, OT? Could this just be a temporary delay? I’m so desperately worried... and want to do the best for her.

What she can do:
but shuffle, weight bare from sitting position to standing for about 10 seconds, push herself along on a little car, beginning to roll on to her back with help, lots of babble, some words, points to what she wants or guides my hand to things, sings tunes accurately and can keep rhythm clapping or tapping, very sociable, waves, blows kisses, recognises familiar people, Lots of animal noises, Can ‘draw’ with a pencil or colour, can use a fork and spoon really, well, very good at feeding herself

Issues
Reluctant to weight bear, lifts up feet most of the time ( but can do it if distracted)
Can not crawl - can get on all fours now but screams a lot!
Has a bit of lazy eye when she’s tired (sorry I know that’s not the technical term!) and she has seen ophthalmology about this and they thought she would grow out of it , but her next appointment was missed because of Covid.

Appears to use words then never says them again.. said ‘flower’ and ‘morning’ then we never heard it again. She is down to about 4 words now but has gone through a big leap with her gross motor skills ... is this perhaps why?

I’m a SAHM and obviously there are no playgroups I can take her too now and I wonder if it would help her to go to a nursery or childminder to be with other children.
She has an older brother who she copies a lot. She is mostly a very happy little girl but really seeing some frustration in her now.
Sorry it’s such a long post
TIA
X

How is her non verbal communication for sharing her interests with you? i.e. does she point things out for you to see them too? (like a plane in the sky), does she bring you interesting things that she finds around her to show you? etc.

Hi, thanks so much for replying.
Yes she does lots of that. Lots of pointing and tells me things through actions ‘ like ‘’ffff’ for hot with a hand action, brings me books to read to her, points to dogs and woofs that kind of thing
