Scared siblings

My DD is 11 and has adhd and awaiting tests for austim. Her meltdowns are getting worse. She is scaring her younger siblings with the screaming and physical violence to me. Her brother is only 2 and is copying her behaviour back to her. When she's trying to hit me he tries to hit her. When she's screaming he has such a scared look on his face and has nightmares that night. The baby 8 months has no clue what's going but cries.

Any ideas on what to do?

You might be better posting on SN Chat. They tend to have more traffic on there.

You could try ringing social services and ask if they can provide any respite care. You could always try the NAS helpline, but it is very busy at the moment.

Has your daughter got worse since the lockdown or was she getting worse anyway? Do you have any support in RL OP?

I have my OH and my mum will help too. I think it's the lack of routine like school ect.

Could you try making her a timetable so she has some sort of routine at home?

Have you tried speaking to her school? Does she have an EHC plan?

She doesn't yet. school and pediatrician is slow in doing anything. They've both agreed to have one but nothing's been done.

If school and the paediatrician agree she needs an EHCP, you do not have to wait for them to start the process. You can request one yourself.
