My ds who has just turned 5 is finishing his reception year. He has always been fidgety, talks a lot and on the go all the time. As he has grown up it has not changed and go a bit worse at home. Nothing really bad but enough for us to notice. Over lockdown we have started to put all the dots together and been looking into possible causes (if there is one). The markers for ADHD are very similar. Can't really give eye contact. Can't follow instructions well and forgets/is easily distracted. Talks and repeats phrases from fav films etc. Hates sudden change and enjoys routine. He has also just started to hit himself on the head when he gets frustrated. I am going to e mail his school next week but is there anything else I can do? Should I see the gp about it? I don't know what I'm asking really. Just need to be doing something I think.
