Can I do anything to stop DS's tic?

DS3 (6) is strongly suspected to have ADHD and dyspraxia but is too young for a CHAMS referral apparently.
His latest issue is a throat clearing tic, it's every few seconds and tbh - I have misophonia and it's driving me insane. SadBlush (I know this is my issue not his and would never express my frustration)

I am concerned that it will cause problems at school and some of the other children will comment.

Can I do anything to help it go away or is it a waiting game?

DS has has things that he does repeatedly before but never vocal, he's had obsessive clothes chewing and he used to rub one of his nipples until I bled.

We've had the throat clearing tic with our ASD son. It came and went for a while and we just ignored it. It then came back really strongly and none of us could ignore it 😂 so we started getting ds to suck ice cubes to distract him (there were certain times it was particularly bad - when watching tv / reading etc) and that stopped it quite quickly. I anticipate it coming back as it's a manifestation of his anxiety.
