Teenager with SEN wanting to practice handwriting. Finally!

He has autism and dyspraxia and has been very resistant to practising handwriting and as such it's very poor. However he's hit an age where he's aware now and wants to work on it so any recommendations please? Nothing too babyish or he might just disengage. Many thanks!

I've found that since my boys have to write less their handwriting is better. They use laptops mostly. I tried lots of handwriting programmes and spent £££££ on OT to no avail!!!

I did magiclink handwriting with my then 10 year old. He has Asperger's and really took to the structure and step by step approach. We completed the full online course and his writing at the end was so beautiful! Sadly a little lapsed now when he writes at speed, though the MAIN thing is that it is still legible.

An adult has to do it together with the child so requires commitment. Unless you go down the class route.
