Hi there,
My little girl has Asperger's and was recently offered a trial at this school, which was successful, in terms of they said they could meet her needs. She has an EHCP, however the fees for this school are 3 times the amount on the Plan. So is it still possible we might get her in at Tribunal? If not, why the trial? Her current school is not meeting her needs and there is no change in her pre and post EHCP provision.
Thanks in advance x

Did you approach the school yourself or did the local authority? The school, which I understand is independent, has to identify whether they are able to meet need irrespective of who would fund. if you have identified the school as a potential setting for your daughter you now need to negotiate with your local authority regarding placement and funding. If they have identified a different school they may feel her needs can be met in a maintained school. If so once a final ehcp is issued you have right of appeal. If they agree there is no suitable local provision they may agree to riverston.
Looking at the school website they clearly have people who are experienced at working with local authorities regarding placement. They would be best placed too advise you after the Christmas break.
