Can anybody guide me to getting the right support to pinpointing specific learning difficulties please.

At primary school, after much pestering, a test showed poor working memory. One teacher gave me an article on dyslexia. When I asked if I should get her privately tested, she said she'd it would be done at school but there was a sudden uturn before sats and no explanation. I was told she was to be given a reader for sats. I told them I'd rather her not have the reader then to see what the results would be doing it independently , but I was told they had to facilitate any aid- so contradicting no need for further assessment ?

My hunch has always been ADD inattentive type . She's always been quirky (I think as a result of lots of inherent traits). She conforms in school which is great but I think that's why her needs are overlooked.Ive encouraged learning activities , books etc at home , it results in almighty meltdowns.

How can I get her new secondary school to assess further ?Or do they automatically pick up where primary finishes?Any pointers greatly appreciated:)
