Is my DD getting enough extra help?

DD1 is 11 and started comprehensive school in September, she has been receiving extra help in school since she was 6/7 for reading, writing and maths and this has continued in her new school but I'm wondering if she's getting enough help.

She gets 2 & a half hours every 2 weeks, one week she gets taken out of her welsh lesson for the hour and the next week again she misses welsh for an hour plus half of her RE lesson.

She's having trouble retaining information that she's learned that day and getting increasingly frustrated when doing her homework.

I'm not the smartest of people and hated school myself, I left early for personal reasons and never did any further education so sometimes struggle to help her Sad

Are there any websites or apps that could maybe help me understand her needs/difficulties more and help her with her spellings/reading/writing?

Well, it's difficult to say if she's getting 'enough' help without knowing the extent of her difficulties. An hour/90 min each week isn't a great deal, but it course make a difference if she's learning useful techniques/strategies that are then being used and reinforced in her other lessons. What is she actually doing in her support time? Are the other teachers aware of her difficulties and supportive?

Sorry, lots of questions rather than answers there, but those are the sorts of things I'd be asking the school in your place.

Wrt websites and apps etc, can you be more specific about her needs? What sort of level is she at for reading and writing? You could google ictgames and see if that's any use.

This is a picture of the homework she completed tonight, it took her ages and was asking us for the answers as she said she couldn't remember what was said during her lesson today.

It's extra literature support, her last report said she was reading at an age level nearly 3yrs younger. I thought it was making a difference and helping but find it worrying when she's asking what number month of the year January is and is asking how to spell nearly every other words.
