what the hell do I expect? lots of questions I suppose.

what I am afraid of is being told I am an idiot for suggesting it and also being proved right. (no win!)

agggggggghhhhhhhh!

Yes, it can feel like a no win situation. But actually it isn't. You're far better off knowing either way. Then you can start to help.

They'll probably want to know all her baby milestones.

They'll probably talk yo you and DD. And observe her a bit.

And they'll probably tell you nothing at the end :) besides arranging another appt.

Definitely better to know, so it isn't a no win.
Don't every feel like an idiot either. You are your DC's best parent & you are doing everything in your power to ensure their best future. Feel good about what you are doing - you really, really should. Smile

PS, the best board for these questions is SN children. It's the one with the most traffic

thanks. the dr seems to be ruling out autism. and yes we have another appointment in 3 months, after they have spoken to nursery.

Who did you see exactly blackeyedsanta? A GP cannot make a diagnosis of ASD.

blackeyedsanta · 05/01/2012 21:11

not a gp, a dr at the child development unit.
