Shocked by Ed Psych Report - seeking reassurance

DD2s first report, age 9, showed a high IQ and a slow processing speed. Consequently she has has some support and extra time for exams. At 13 she has just had a new report, which shows her processing speed is in the 4th centile. She was given 10% extra time in recent school tests and did well. She will now be given 25% and so will have time to finish the papers. Still can't help feeling shocked at her processing speed. Anyone else with a DC in this sort of category?

ds'(13) last report showed a similar trend (2 reports 2 years apart, same EP) specifically for his working memory score but he finds ways to compensate. His highest IQ score is verbal so he repeats things to himself/us or writes out lists of vocab etc.

Thanks, Lizs, there seem to be some great strategies out there. I'm sure I am much more worried than DD!
