Help starting a business with little funds

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any tips or tricks on how they have successfully started their business and still going strong a year later.

I have found something I really enjoyed doing as I done it for my daughter and everyone loved it. Not unique by any part, a pamper party. Mainly aimed at tweens but will adjust accordingly. I am struggling to see how I get this off the ground as funds are limited! So just wondering if anyone has had any experience on how they managed to get their business from nothing to something with little funds? I am working and trying to put money aside but any advice would be appreciated 😊

Surely don’t need much at all for that?
create adverts, post online in local fb groups etc and flier local places where allowed

use a deposit to secure the date and use that to buy the ‘ingredients’ or at least contribute to them then put all the profit back in for the next few months.

this requires having a scaleable business plan where you know you’re covering all costs including salary so your income builds.

If you did it for your daughter surely you have all the kit? Advertise on local FB groups, school newsletters, WhatsApp groups, supermarket notice boards.

It depends upon whether you want a scalable business or a side hustle to bring in a little extra on top of other income (main job or pension).

Business gateway grant or startup loan?

I dont think start up costs would be huge and if you really want to do it theres always a way. Although my business is a different sector I took a risk and took bookings with a deposit then use the deposit money to start buying what you need that way you arent using too much of your own money. I literally bought equipment for jobs as bookings came in.

Insurance might be an issue, I wouldn't attempt this kind of business without proper cover. Also, will you need police checks?

I think I’d start by making a business plan, list everything you’d need to purchase into sections Jade for future parties, seek out the cheapest places to buy them, how often, how much you’d charge, your party size limits (min amount/max amount) cost per head or per group, how far you will travel, venues wether it’s in their homes or public spaces or your own home, all the different insurances you’ll need, advertising costs-if any as
ñoxsñ Facebook etc maybe enough. Business cards….thats just off the top of mmynhes debut once you’ve listed out all of your costs you can see way more clearly what you route would be good for you, you maybe able to
do it by buying as you build then eventually when your established pack some of the funds away when you start getting busier. I’d say keep it as a side hustle for now, just weekends and evenings then gradually you can switch to do that as more your full time income. Sure you‘ll boss it! Best of luck!
