My 11 year old wants to set up a jewellery business

My 11 year old daughter has been making her own jewellery for several months and is wanting to set up her own small business online.
I am guessing as she is under 14 I would need to head this up for her.
In an era where TikTok and Pinterest are mad for this sort of thing, my daughter has ideas of going live with an online shop. Where would be best to set up shop?
We do not envisage a large income and it’s unlikely to make a profit, so I don’t want to dive in head first and just want to test the water with a small online selling shop to start with.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I’ve no idea where to start!

Have you looked at teenage market.? My then 10 year old DD had a stall at a local one and made a fortune selling clay bead bracelets last summer. She didn’t have much luck online, but tbh I didn’t help as much as I could have.

I’d support her making faceless videos for socials and selling at a local market or on Etsy etc if she was really passionate about it.

But I would have to be dragged kicking and screaming into letting an 11 year old girl go live on TikTok. The risks aren’t worth it.

Local craft markets would be good - my daughter did this at 13/14 and it was good fun.
you can buy good value charms in bulk on eBay (I’m sure you know this) to make up a good bulk of earrings and pendants, also chains and leather thongs are good value to buy in bulk.

Etsy or one of the other market place type websites as a place for selling. It gives the buyers some confidence.
Your DD could then promote her creations through instagram/ TikTok etc, but as PP say, not necessarily through live.
My son has done something similar and it seems to be working well (although he is older and doing it to help fund Uni). He puts out posts on social media with links to his Etsy store. He does promote his wares other ways as well.
