Hi, I’m in need of some guidance surrounding the type of insurance I need to conduct craft classes/ workshops in multiple venues (village halls/ pub rooms eta) in conjunction with serving food and hot drinks and alcohol. Does the venue licence cover the food/ drinks/ alcohol or do I need to have separate insurance. I obvs need public liability. Can anyone advise?

Are you providing food and drinks? If so, you'll need food hygiene certification and training as well as insurance for that. Alcohol is a whole different kettle of fish.
You will need public liability, potentially product liability, and any electrical equipment you are using will need PAT certification.

Thanks for the reply @DelilahBucket The idea is to provide tea and cakes and fizz/ mulled wine after the workshop. I have food hygiene certification.

If the refreshments are provided on-site by the venue would I need to insure for those or would their insurance cover? Just wondering if it’s easier to only book venues with onsite catering to get around this issue. No electtical equipment would be used. Shouldn’t require product liability.

If the venue are serving then their insurance covers it. If you are serving you cover it. You will need to be hygiene rated by the council. If you are serving alcohol, you will need an alcohol licence.
