Anyone with experience of private home help/care/befriender work?

Hi, I'm looking into possibly starting a business providing home care help for the elderly but unsure where to start.
Background- I'm 57 and just been made redundant from an office admin position. In the past I have had more responsibilities in sales and office roles but I'm not relishing the thought of going back to this.
I'd like to think I'm caring, empathetic and organised.
I've started volunteering at a couple of dementia groups and I'm also considering training as a Love to Move deliverer. This provides seated exercises for people with dementia and can be delivered to private groups, care homes and 1 to 1.
I'd like to help with cooking, shopping, light housekeeping, trips out. I would not be providing personal care.
Ideally earning £1000-1500 per month.
Is anyone currently doing this and how's it working for you?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yes I do!
I work as a self employed carer and have done since 2019.

Hi,

did you go ahead with this and set it up?

There's a lady local to me that provides dementia day care companionship. She seems to take her clients out and about as that's the photos I've seen, but I'm sure she does other things. They appear to be regular clients and when I contacted her looking for someone for Dad so that he can get out for a day without us and to see different places, she was fully booked.

I'm using a person like this for my mother, however they've 25 years experience in the care industry. They charge £22 an hour so can be a good wage.
We use them to give family a rest and to do social activities with my mother so it's quite easy money in out case but if you're supporting someone with higher needs I'm sure it could mean you'd do less hours or visits per day.
Have you considered Shared Lives as a job? Having someone live with you long term or respite only?
