Refund due to customs?

Hello, I sold some hand made items at a slightly discounted price for £150 to a loyal customer. For some reason this year, they won’t go through customs (to Ireland) I’ve tried 4 times and so far it’s cost in money, £50.
the buyer is rightly fed up and wants a full refund - my instinct is of course to refund in full, but I am a bit fed up with time / materials etc. cost.
should I take some money off the refund?
or refund in full?
wwyd?!

Hi, thanks, yes. It's reappeared on my doorstep again. I’ve done everything properly, I thought. I checked it with the post office guy. I’ll see if I can chat to someone on the websites tribpot posted above so helpfully.
seems crazy.

Thanks tribpot! Agree I’ll limit sales to the uk for now. I am just a tiny hobby really, with dreams. I’m baffled as she’s been buying a few years now, and it’s always been fine. They must have got a new computer or something.

They must have got a new computer or something.

More likely to be due to the implementation of new export regs related to Brexit.

Thanks tribpot!
I’ve resent it for the last time, double checked by 2 post offices - realised I don’t actually trust mine, he gets stressed too easily, and crossed fingers. I’ll refund too, and then that’s that. No more Ireland! Bloody brexit.
