Negotiate with restaurants

Hi all
I'm in the process of creating a community events business to bring people who live alone together. It's similar to a meet up group, but focuses on a specific audience base.

I have had my first couple of events. I've had an overwhelming response and my first event was sold out- amazing! My fb and IG pages are rocketing and the business is really starting to take shape.

Questions :

  1. I rely on restaurants hosting us and would like to get some good deals pp, with the exchange of bringing the restaurant a lot of business. What's the best way to go about this? Family /individually owned restaurants? What's a good agreement to land on- 10% off? 40% off? If speaking to a chain (like Yates) who would be the person to speak to in head office?
  1. I currently use eventbrite, mostly for the reputation to show its a legit meet up. It took almost £3 a ticket.. What's a good tried and tested alternative to this? I'd prefer to use a platform rather than providing bank details.
  1. I have charged sponsors to be part of the events. These sponsors were specifically selected because the attendees were the target market, to a T. Sponsors can go around during the lunch /dinner and speak to potential customers, hand out Goodie bags etc... What is a good price to charge for that? What would you pay? I was able to charge £110 for my first event, but i feel like i can charge more, just not sure how much more.

Thank you!
