Using a car for business - can you claim for lease costs or just petrol?

I am considering a new line of work which I would need a reliable car for, I have seen loads online about claiming for petrol, is that the only thing you can claim for with regards to a car?
If I were to lease a car could I claim that as an expense? Or only the milage. I think i saw somewhere that you can also claim for tax and business car insurance is that correct?
I would be self employed not a limited company.

The lease would need to be in the name of the business I believe. It would also need to have your company logo to be able to claim for the car itself and insurance. You can claim flat rate mileage at 45p per mile for the first 10,000 miles, but only if you are not claiming for anything else. I do this and have business use on my insurance which only costs £40 a year so I'm not overly bothered about claiming that.
