Just getting into using a sling with DS2. Got a P&T carrier and just invested in an ellaroo wrap. Loving it. But what do you do about all your clobber? All the changing gear, and usual handbag contents. (presuming not pushing another DC in buggy, which will be some of the time)

What kind of thing do you recommend? None of the babies in any of the publicity material seem to ever need nappy changes, and the parents don't apparently have purses or phones.....

I use a rucksack, but have only done front carries so far (DS is 5.5 months now). But I think I'd struggle if doing a back carry - by the time I've put in all the kit, it's a fair bit of stuff. I find it gets quite heavy in a messenger style bag.

If DH and I are going out together, one of us takes the sling, one takes the bag. If I'm shopping or out for any length of time I'll often take the pushchair as well, which kind of defeats the point of slings for convenience, but does give you more carrying capacity.

I travel light, mostly I back carry a lot so I have a bookbag style backpack with long loops that sits just below the kid's bum. A trolley for big shopping, but I had that pre children anyway. Google Onbag.
