DS2 is now 6 weeks old and I'm not getting on well with the Babasling that we are borrowing (DS2 doesn't seem comfy and I find it cumbersome and it hurts my back after a while).

However, I love the idea of (a) DS2 being close (b) being able to still play with DS1 without having to hold DS2 at the same time (c) stopping flat head and (d) allowing me some time to get stuff done in the house (which seems like an impossible task at the moment!).

So, I'm looking for any advice on a good allrounder, which would enable me to carry DS2 during the day and one preferably that is easy to use, easy on the back and not too expensive (I don't ask for much!)!

Any advice or suggestions very welcome. I'm off to bed now, but will check again tomorrow - cheers!

I have had several slings in the past 3.5years since the arrival of DD1. My favourite is/was my Hug-a-bub. It is a wrap type of sling but very easy to get used to and I could put it on in less time than it used to take DP to put on the unwieldy BabyBjorn he used to use if he ever carried them.

I am sure there will be lots more people - so I would also suggest looking to see if there is a SLingmeet near to you where you can try lots of different types of sling to see what works for you.

Hope you find something that suits you both.

I had Baby Bjorn's for DS1 and DS2, but for DD1 (my youngest) I used a trad plain old sling when she was little - looks like the babasling, but then moved onto the Hug a Bub when older. Hug a Bub is way more comfortable on my back than anything else - and I am a bit sensitive and is very snuggly. I bought mine on ebay to save a few bucks.

I had a BabyBjorn too. I really used it a lot. My friend used a stretchy wrap and it looked very versatile and comfy, if I was to have another baby now I would certainly give it a try.

I's thoroughly recommend the Moby Wrap Baby Sling it's really comfortable.
