3mo hates babywearing and pram!

First post from the mum of a very high needs 3mo (she's almost 15 weeks). She used to enjoy being carried around in her ergobaby embrace sling. For the last 4 or 5 weeks she'd only tolerate being in there for naps (always after putting up a fuss initially being transferred in)! For the last couple of weeks she point blank refuses to be in there, screams/pushes against me until I take her out. She doesn't like being held against my chest (and hasn't done for ages) but she needs near constant holding and movement. The only position she tolerates is being held in arms facing outwards so she can look all around - she's extremely alert and nosey (born with her eyes WIDE open). The problem is she's too small to go in an outwards facing carrier yet (her head control just isn't quite there) and she screams in the pram bassinet (again, she's too young to go in the pushchair part of the pram just yet). This week I've taken to carrying her in arms for short walks as it's the only way she's in any way content...but it's hardly practical and with the wind/rain I put her in a waterproof pram suit which is bulky/slippery and makes her hard to hold...does anyone have any bright ideas? We're spending more and more time indoors so she doesn't need layering up, but I need to be able to go for short walks outside when the weather allows it, for my sanity!

Is she uncomfy in the carrier? Mine used to pushback like that when uncomfy because I had forgotten to adjust the carrier settings as baby outgrow the smallest settings. The next time it happened I worked out fairly quick that the clothing was restricting baby's toes whilst in the carrier- as soon as I upsized it was fine again.

Good luck with your troubleshooting!

Can’t you use it on the side? It can give babies a good view but also support the head. I remember my middle was like this and I used a carrier on the side which was easier and more comfortable than facing out and could be done earlier, and for longer. I’d try a different carrier or something on the side, maybe sling library can help
