Does this type of carrier exist (wide shoulder straps but not a wrap?)

Hello, looking for some advice - I love my stretchy wrap for my 2 month old because you can pull the shoulder straps right out to spread the weight. However it is a faff to get on and off - I know you can leave them on but it doesn't fit as well the second time you use it if that makes sense. I'm not going to get any faster at putting it on and off either, and I know baby will want to move to something more structured soon.

The only problem is that I hate the straps on a soft structured carrier pulling on my neck and find it really uncomfortable. I'm quite short so I don't think that helps!

So my question is.... Is there a more structured carrier with straps you can spread out, or really padded so it's more comfortable?

The only two I've tried are Baby Bjorn which I'm not a big fan of anyway due to the seat width, and a Connecta.

Thanks!

I had a Beco Gemini - it doesn’t have particularly wide straps but it was very comfy, I am also short (5’3) and it was well sized for me. As I recall the straps cross over at the back so aren’t going to pull on your neck.

I had a tula good to grow and the straps were really padded. I'm also a shortie (smudge under 5 foot) and found it so comfortable

Yes yes yes!

The baby k’tan. Fits that criteria perfectly

It’s a wrap, but a pre-tied wrap if that makes sense?

I’ve got an Ergobaby 360 Omni, it has really padded straps. It fits me but I’m 5’8”.
Have you got a sling library near you? They often have a variety of brands that you can try out.

Definitely try a Tula. You may need an infant insert at that age. Straps really padded and comfortable. I carried my babies until around 18m comfortably in a standard Tula and still carry them occasionally on my back (they are nearly 2 and nearly 4) now in a toddler Tula.

Wow thanks all, looks like there are a lot of options! We do have a sling library nearby but the nearest locations are closed since Covid. I will look into these and see if I can find a few to try! Thanks all :)

Also ergobaby embrace might be worth a look :)
