Papapum toddler carrier? What's best for tall carrier?

Hi, we are looking for a toddler carrier to take on holiday. We currently have a big frame carrier which suits 6' DH but we want a soft structured one to take away as we'll be using the baggage allowance for the push chair. DS is 18 months and about 12kg.

I've been looking at the papapum carrier but was wondering how it works for a taller adult? I've been told that the ergo baby isn't great for bigger adults (my sister loved hers by she is a petite 5'3"!) unfortunately it will mostly be DH doing the carrying as I have neck and shoulder problems.

So the ideal would be packs up small, comfy for a 6' carrier ( and of course DS!) oh and possible to pick up on eBay for a reasonable sum.

Any suggestions would be great thank you.

I've never tried a patapum but have a huckepack which I find fantastic. It is fully adjustable and I have carried a 4yo in it. My dh uses it a lot.

The patapum used to be good but I don't think they are that great any more, there is better on the market.

Look at the Boba, I'm not sure what generation they are on now. Also, stay away from ebay - there are too many fakes on there and scammers. Are you on facebook? There is a sling group called something like slings and carriers FSOT UK (for sale or trade) where you can get good deals second hand.

Does he need buckles? Because a toddler Mei Tai would be good too.

Another option would be to contact a sling library and hire one.

I hired a toddler Tula last year for a weeks holiday, i really liked it - DS was coming up for 2 (but he was a massive 2 so more like 3-4yo)
'It's a sling thing' was the website
Wasn't expensive and they did lots of different slings (iirc, I haven't been on the website for almost a year)
You might be able to try a few before you go then hire one for your holiday or buy one secondhand but at least you know you're getting the right one for you
