Is a toddler backpack the right way to go?

I'm after opinions and help with possibly purchasing a backpack style carrier.
My daughter is 14 months, a little shy of 10kgs and hates being back carried in our Manduca. I was thinking of buying a frame style carrier for this purpose. I like the look of a couple of Littlelife ones, especially one that just looks like a daysack although the description states it's best used for short trips. We're not avid Trekkers but would like her and us to be comfy for an hour or two over ground unsuitable for a buggy. Or any ideas to change her mind about the Manduca before I sell it?!
Thanks.

Following. We've looked at that carrier too but DH is too tall for it at 6'2" and we both need to be able to wear it (twins).

Any idea what she doesn't like about the back carry in the Manduca? Is she OK in a front carry? The physical positioning isn't very different between the two.

If the problem is that she can't see your face, a toddler backpack isn't going to fix anything. In that case, you might be able to convince her by having one parent with her on their back and one walking alongside for reassurance until she gets the hang of it.

Or is it that she is too nosey? They can end up quite low down, so they need to look out sideways. If you think that might be the case, a woven wrap or mei tai or anything else with an unstructured waist that you can tie under your boobs (instead of round your waist) would get her higher up.
