Boba good for 12month+?

Hi everyone! DD is 10.5mo at the moment and outgrowing her current carrier. We are looking to get one in the next few weeks that will be suitable for me and DH to use over the next 1-2 years ideally.

I was looking at the Boba 3G- can anyone recommend it, or any other carrier that may be suitable please?

DD likes facing out, is on the skinny side and we would probably like something we can use to carry her on our backs eventually.

I have a Boba 3g and it is suitable for up to pre-schoolers because of the stirrups. I regularly wear my 15 mo twins (1 wide and 1 skinny) in it.

You can't do facing out with a Boba, but that's probably a good thing as I wouldn't want a 12mo+ child on me with their centre of gravity way out from mine! You can however, get a REALLY good high back carry with it therefore they can see everything.....or so my very nosy LG tells me!

We use a Patapum and have done for about a year now. DS is two and it's still comfortable for all of us.I love it wholeheartedly...

Yes! Boba 3G is excellent.

I did love my Patapum but a growth spurt at 3 rendered it unsafe. Compared to my friend's Boba it's very short, even though I thought it was a long carrier. Disappointing, as I was hoping to use it until 4 or so (although TBH I'm not sure I could carry DS now even if I did have a carrier that came up further than his hips...)

I agree she'll be way too big to do facing out soon if not already - but outward facing usually means they like back carries as they can see over your shoulder :)

Thanks Bertie, she does love a good nosy round, so I think she will need a carrier that gives her a good view over my shoulder!
