Cheap version of Moby Wrap Sling?

Would like to try a wrap type sling for DC2 (due in a month). I vaguely recall reading a post recommending a cheap / no frills version of the Moby Sling (around the 20 quid mark) but now can't find the post / remember the name! Can anyone help? I'm overseas, so can't use ebay / buy secondhand.

Google Victoria sling lady - her slings are fab and cheap too.

I bought a sling on this website here which I used with DS from a week old until about 6-7 months. It was good quality and definitely not too narrow or stretchy.

A moby wrap sling is just a long piece of fabric. I went to a fabric shop - "Tshirting" fabric is ideal, it's mostly cotton with a tiny bit of lycra to give it some stretchiness. I bought 6m in a lovely vibrant colour for circa £30 (normal length is 5.5m but I'm plumper than average), and then cut it in half lengthways (normal fabric width is twice as wide as a wrap needs to be) - and sold half to a pal from antenatal class so we each paid £15.

It doesn't really need hemming - Mine has been used on a daily basis for 3 babies now (only one mine!) and is still not fraying significantly. You can use the nice helpful instructions for how to put it on from the mobywrap or any babywearing website. The cut edge will probably be a bit wobbly but that never bothered me.

Brilliant - thanks very much for all the tips. I think it was Victoria Sling lady I spotted earlier, but great to have some other options as well.
