My dd was full term, and weighs over 9lb.

I want a sling that's easy to use, that I can just pop her into quickly, so that I can pootle about the house and garden with her.

I have a Mei Tai, and a Kari-Me but neither of these are suitable. I also use a Morph for dog walking. Again, not suitable as it's not something that I can use by myself, I'm sure that plenty can, just not me!

I just want something that I can put her in, that will mean she's close to me. She's very cuddly and just wants to curl up on me and sleep. Something that I will feel comfortable putting her in to go around the shops etc, that I can get her in and out of by myself to breastfeed, or feed her in it. Doesn't have to last her for years.

Any ideas would be more than welcome. Sadly no sling meets around here.

I would have said something like the Kari-me. Why isn't it working out for you as that may rule out others?

Ring sling?

maybe a close caboo if tying up the wrap is the problem.

EasilyBored · 22/06/2012 09:21

Maybe something like the moby or a stretchy wrap? They are a bit of a faff to put on a first, but you can put it on and just leave it on during the day? I found the MeiTai a bit hard when DS was tiny, as it wasn't as supportive as I thought he needed. You can get inserts though, I think, that help support them?

It's the tying that's the issue! I love the mei tai when I'm going out but want something simple, quick and easy. I've seen those babaslings, thats the kind of thing I had in mind, but wonder if they're any good and if there's better ones.

What about an Ergo?

PotteringAlong · 24/06/2012 10:57

If you want easy to put on I've got a connecta <a class="break-all" href="http://www.connectababycarrier.com/www.connectababycarrier.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">www.connectababycarrier.com/www.connectababycarrier.com/ which I find really easy to use. I've got a stretchy boba too which was great when DS was really little.

www.connectababycarrier.com/ proper link!

If you've got no sling meets near you, my local sling library does postal loans which might be a way around it?
