hello! I have a lovely new (to me) woven wrap. I love it, but am attempting back carries. I have been playing with a back cross carry, but it sits quite low for Ds, who is only 4 months. Is there a type of carry that sits higher up that anyone knows the name of so I can look on you tube for videos? Or, should I jut stick to front carries for now. He's rather heavy already... Thanks!

I got a Karrimor for a quid on ebay (seriously). Used with DS from about 4/5m onwards with great success. He LOVES it. He's now 9.5kg so I find my centre of balance is too high and sometimes feel unstable when climbing over fences ambling along country lanes. I now use the ergo baby carrier on my back - it sits lower, but he's taller now. But DH still uses the Karrimor. The rain cover is crap though ime.

I have found some of the videos here useful - www.youtube.com/user/CosyBabyHappyMommy

Thank you LeBFG- i kind of meant some carries I could do with the woven, but its always good to have info about other carriers- i think DP would like a buckle one. Thanks for replying.

Thanks Rubinosa, i shall check that out.

Hi Loopy! GrinGrin I hoped that you would reply! It's lovely to speak to you again, and hope it's going well with all 4? And DH of course! Thank you for that information, I did see the Jordan back carry when I was looking for how to do a Santa toss somewhere, so might go with that. It's a 7(!) so a lot of excess in the carries that I've tried. When I lose this extra stone I have hanging around and perfect my back ties I shall have to invest in a new shorter sling! Oh, the trauma.Smile. I had a look over on NM on someone elses recommendation, but only looked at the FSOT, which confuddled me a bit! Easily done! I'll pop over.

It's a bebina. Very comfy but quite thick. I think. I haven't got much to compare it to! It's lovely and colourful.

Ooh! I really want to wave to YRMOTB & Loopy GrinGrin.

I love babywearing too! We had a stretchy wrap for DD when she was teeny (on my front) & have just bought a BECO Butterfly & a Manduca so we can get out n about in the summer. She loves being on our backs. Would LOVE to get a woven wrap but still find it a bit confusing - a little less so after reading this so might end up joining you both. Hope you're both well Grin
