Been looking through threads and lots of recommendations, when I goggle them they all look v.similar.

So which is best?
Want maximum back and shoulder support for myself and to carry front and back.
Look to use a lot so comfort is really important.
Atm dc 4weeks is living in my Moby, she is number 4 and the rest are 5 and under.
So my sling is my saviour for day to day activity :)

Your Moby should last a few months yet. I bought a Rose & Rebellion on a friend with 3 under 3 recommendation & I love it. My toddler & baby both fit in, it's v comfy & not as expensive as some of them.

Your choice is basically between a buckled carrier (like Ergo, R&R, Connecta, Beco) or a Mei Tai (similar style but with straps to tie, not buckle).

Or get a woven wrap.

Thank you the above are all the ones I've been looking at just wondered if there is a best one as they look so similar.
Is a buckled easier but does it compromise support. That's what I've imagined my be wrong. Are they less comfortable.
?
And there are so many mei's when I search on line Confused

Are you near a sling library or sling meet? Any chance to go and try some in person? www.ukslinglibraries.co.uk www.slingmeet.co.uk

If you love your Moby I'd be tempted to say woven wrap.....it's not so much trickier than a Moby and if you like the feel of a wrap it makes sense to stick with that.

Different buckle carriers suit different people - hence my suggestion to try out if you can. It's a bit like shoes. If you are a size 6, you could try on a dozen size 6 pairs of shoes....some would be okay, some really comfortable, some monumentally uncomfy. Then someone else who is also a size 6 could try on the same dozen pairs of shoes but find different ones comfy/uncomfy. The Babasling is the feet-knackering-blister-inducing one on everyone. But for some the Ergo will be the one, for some the Manduca, for some the Boba etc.

Mei tais vary hugely in price, quality and comfort too.

Thanks unfortuantely we arent anywhere close enough to s sling meet/library.

Quite like the look of the connecta solar? think thats what its called, like the idea of some uv protection and it being cool, do worry about baby getting too hot in moby if the weather gets much hotter.

But just not sure if buckles would dig in. Or if this style would hurt my shoulders/neck. On the other hand it would be good to have something that isnt so long incase i need to put it on outside.

Moby is quite supportive but i still have yo get it just right for my shoulder/neck.

Looked quickly at some woven wraps and was shocked at the price!
When i got my moby a couple of years ago im sure in the now lost intructions there was a back carry option for older babies, but when i downloaded online it was no longer there??

Please don't back carry in a stretchy wrap! There are lots of you tube videos saying why this is a bad idea.

If you want to try a few different carriers but are nit near a sling library, my local one does postal loans

Thought that might be the case re Moby. So how is a woven wrap different?

And thank you pottering will check that out Smile

Thank you don't like the idea of attempting back wrapping..looking at getting something in addition to Moby as I'm slightly worried about baby overheating on hot days in Moby.
But want something that I and also use long term for on my back etc once dd is older.
We take other dcs on field walks regularly as live in a rural area so thought back position might be better when baby is bigger for me and her. Also might be easier to help my just two yr old too.
