Help! I've just bought a connecta to use instead of the uncomfortable baby bjorn but I'm finding it more uncomfortable than the bb!! The straps keep slipping up to the back of my neck and it kills me. Where am i going wrong?

Is it back or front carry you're doing? Oh front, right, you've got them crossed over?

You might not have it tight enough. Once you've got DC in and in position you need to really tighten the straps; not so they're squashed, but so that they're tight against you. Also, I used to put a hand round behind and really pull them down low and then tighten them up again.

Thanks. Thought that's what I'd tried but suspect i could get them tighter. Are there any good you tube videos about how to do it? I take it they are comfortable when you get it right?

I found mine really comfortable - so much so that I've ordered one of their lightweight summer ones as well to use with DC2.

is actually going to end up wearing her twins, but she does the front carry first.

You might need to position it higher up as well, especially if you're used to a BB. The lower down they are the more the weight will drag, and that could pull the straps up.

Thanks! She seems to get her cross lower from the beginning, maybe I'll try to practice with dh first.

Put the strap over your shoulder, and then pull it down across your back using the opposite arm to the shoulder it is over by taking your arm behind you to your side - not up towards your neck. Like this lady does (it's a babyhawk oh snap but same principle)

If you try and cross them by crossing them over behind your neck they'll ride up too high.

We've had an email from connecta saying they might have put our waist buckle on the wrong way round. What's the right way and could this be contributing to the discomfort?
