Despite 3 years of using lots of different slings I have no idea what 'straight cut or leg cut' means! Could you provide a link?

Straight cut - you want their legs to be held as wide as possible

Just googled now and found the ebay shop, I think.

I really think 'leg cut' just looks totally the wrong shape. There is a reason why no-one else makes their mei tais that shape! It just won't support the baby's legs properly, especially with a one year old - they'll just dangle awkwardly.

Tbh I am a bit cautious about buying mei tais like this....there is no information whatsoever provided about fabrics and construction to indicate how safe (or not) it is. The fact that the maker makes the 'leg cut' shape which just doesn't support a baby correctly gives me further cause for concern. I run a sling meet / sling library and have had people come to me with mei tais purchased from ebay that just aren't fit for purpose at all. Not to say that this particular one is one of these, just that it happens.

If it were me I'd prefer to spend a few pounds more on a 2nd hand sling of reputable quality..... mei tais like Babyhawk, Freehand, Kozy, etc. Try ebay or Natural Mamas for sale boards.
