can anyone compare a jacquard and a standard Didymos? Is the jacquard lighter weight? Or perhaps a Calin bleu...

Random question, I know...

We have a standard didymos (striped, twill type fabric), and a Moby wrap. I like the lack of bulk of the moby, but I much prefer a woven wrap to a stretch, on the whole. I'm contemplating getting a calin bleu gauze or a jacquard didymos, but not sure if either of these are much less bulky than the standard didymos. Anyone got a clue? Thanks!

A calin bleu will be less bulky, as it's thinner. But will be less supportive.

It really depends on precisely which Didymos you're looking at, as they are all different. Is there a particular one you're looking at?

Thanks! What is slingmeet? is it a way of trying different slings?

Haven't heard of Girasol - will investigate. Hadn't thought of Calin bleu digging in though - I used to use the didy to carry my (98th percentile) DS until he was well over two, and I'd like to get another equally useful sling if possible.

just I don't really know which didymos, it just looks in pictures like the jacquard is a finer, flatter fabric than the twill-type didymos stripes I have (mine is a green/aqua/blue stripe). I suppose I could always email didy and ask... I love my didymos big time and I'm scared of trying another make! Grin

Thanks prince

Seems like the best thing to do is go and grope some slings. Thanks for the slingmeet link Loopy
