Backpack carrier built for women

Has anyone found a backpack that is slim enough for a woman to carry? Normal backpacks usually have a ladies version, because of the narrower shoulder width. We bought a bushbaby carrier for our first, which is great for DH, but when I put it on, the straps practically cross over each other. This is especially uncomfy with a breastfeeding-sized bosom!
I've also tried a littlelife, which didn't feel comfy either. I carried number 2 on my front in a sling/wrap for a while, but she's outgrown the front, and doesn't like being tied on my back.
Any suggestions?

Have you considered using an Ergo? Very comfy for an older baby/toddler on your back, easy to use and not half as bulky as a backpack carrier.

I also found the Ergo a better fit than framed carriers. Good fit round the sholders and bust.

I also really like our Ergo. The Macpac is good if you are keen on a framed carrier.

I just bought a Connecta Integra because I can't get comfortable with our littlelife. I love it - walked 2 miles the other day with my 25 pounder on my back and no problems.

The only downside is she is not as high up as in the carrier so can't see as well. She seemed happy though.

Thanks for those comments. I wasn't overly keen on a mai-tei style carrier, as DD didn't like being on my back in a wrap sling. She is fine with a carrier, as it feels a lot more solid underneath her.
What are the main differences between the Ergo and Patapum - they look about the same to me.
Thanks

I don't care about flattering them, just as long as they don't FLATTEN them - seriously uncomfy! :o
