Pouches and ring-slings

Are these good too? Any recommendations? It would probably not be for long walks, more for school run and round the house, DS's music class, etc. It seems that wrap slings get the best reviews, but I just don't know if I fancy one. I like the idea of just popping a sling over my head, but I don't know if a. they are as safe as a wrap sling? or b. whether they are comfortable just being on the one shoulder.

I used a ring sling for both my DCs from birth to about a year old and swore by it. It was a complete life saver.
As you say, I used it to pop baby into it when going to the shops, on the school run, sometimes around the house etc etc.
My DCs really lived in it when outside the house. Much easier than lugging a maxicosi around everywhere.

It is true that having the weight on only one shoulder means that you get tired a bit quicker than with other types of slings, but that's only a big problem for long trips and when the children get bigger.
Also, with the uneven balance, it is less suitable for wearing while doing housework etc.

In many ways, it is useful to own two slings, one of each type for use in different situations.

Thanks, good advice. I will look up the peanut pouch yesterday.

There is this Huggababy sling on eBay - but honestly, this picture just looks like I could not bend over at all or do anything, and it's the official website:

Do some ringslings have padding?
I have never seen those.
Mine had zero padding and was very adjustable.
If I thought DC needed more padding or was cold, I simply increased the amount of clothing.
