Is my theory correct?

I am on SW at the moment and it’s going really well. I like to be hungry for at least an hour before my next meal and I don’t snack if I do feel hungry. My theory been, hunger is the body's way of telling you it needs more food to make energy, if you don’t eat then it has to get that energy from somewhere else ergo the fat bits. Does this sound right or am I over thinking?

You're overthinking.

I actually agree. If you’re hungry then your body wants energy. If you don’t give it then it will find it in the energy you have stored and start to burn fat

That’s one of the basic principles of weight loss and exercise, consume fewer calories and your body will burn excess stored fat to make energy. Not giving in is the trick.

The reason weight loss injections are so successful is because you simply don’t get that food noise or hunger so you don’t actually have the inclination to eat something whereas your theory is based on having the determination to not give in to that feeling or to eat something low calorie value- you need willpower because the wrong snack at the wrong moment will become an issue.

Yes agree with you. Eat when you are hungry. If you aren’t hungry don’t eat. We need to normalise listening to our bodies.
