I'm doing the 7 day plan out of the magazine and so far today I've had 2 bits of tiny wholemeal bread, sliced tomatoes and scrambled egg. And a bowl of soup. And a snack of lean ham. I honestly feel faint.

Fill up on fruit and veg?

You need to eat loads of veg and salad. When I was on Slimming World I would eat a large orange in the evenings as it kept my hands busy and took ages to eat. Porridge is good as it fills you up. Remember if your stomach is used to big portions it will take a while to adjust. Good luck!

How much is a bit of wholemeal bread? That sounds sort of OK to me, as long as you can eat a proper dinner later. Maybe you need time to let your stomach shrink a bit. What have you been doing today? At work? A lot of exercise? That can make you feel hungry too.

It's been a while since I did slimming world but I remember the idea being that you should never really be hungry because there's always free food you can eat. You should fill a third of your plate with speed food ie veg, which should fill you up.

I’ve been at target for over ten years with SW, and even now I could never get from breakfast to lunch on a bowl of soup! I’d have a jacket potato and beans on the side or similar to fill me up!
I know fruit is the thing I should snack on but I don’t love it; I’d much rather have a boiled egg or a mug shot or a Kvarg yoghurt - something with some carbs or protein to fill me up!
Being hungry is miserable, and not sustainable. Good luck xx

Have you actually joined and got the books or just trying what the magazine says. You need to have plenty of veg and fruit at each meal to fill up.

I've done SW before and I know about free food, but I was trying to do the 7 day plan to start me off again. Most of the lunches are much more substantial but the bowl of soup one is not enough! I'll tweak the plan a bit!

Cook a proper meal. There is a week of recipes in the magazine that you can try. Also, go out and buy some Hex. I keep light Babybel in the fridge and always pick up two packets of Hi-fibre biscuits at the meeting I go to, allowing myself two a day and 3 of the babybel either as Hex's or I add them as Syns. Start the day with a proper breakfast, a full English one, but fry eggs in a low calorie spray (Aldi has one) (or poach or scramble) and everything else, too. Hash browns = 2 syns, otherwise an English breakfast is free food (but take the fat off the bacon) and it can be vegetarian/vegan if you use non-meat sausages, add mushrooms, use baked beans, egg if you are veggie not vegan, and a slice of wholemeal toast (Hex). Do not be hungry, you are not eating nearly enough. Lunch, baked potato with tuna (extra light mayonnaise if you wish) or baked beans or leftover spaghetti bolognese sauce; an omelette with ham, mushrooms etc. soup (several on the app) with slice of wholemeal bread. Dinner, consult the magazine, lots of choices.
