Hi lovelies,

Can someone explain to me what HEXA and HEXB are. I’m not joining a club and just trying to diet from home :-)

Healthy Extras are the only part of the plan that you have to measure. You get 2 hex A choices which are usually dairy. Depending on the fat content of the dairy you’re eating (fat free is generally syn free, although you should always check to make sure), this will effect the amount of it you can have. For example you can have 350mls of skimmed milk as your Healthy Extra A but just 175mls of whole milk. For me this means a small flat white in the morning, and cheese on my dinner.
Hex B choices are your fibre, and are mainly bread and cereals. You get one Hex B. Lots of people use their B choice for wholemeal bread, where you can have either one slice from an 800g loaf or two slices from a 400g loaf (or 60g of any wholemeal bread if you have scales!). You can also pick up quite a few breakfast bars which count as your Hex B which is handy if you’re on the go.
There are plenty of resources available to find out what counts as a hex A or B.
You can’t carry over your Hex choices to another day and if you have already had your Hex As or B, you must syn any additional ones that are eaten that day.

Is someone able to tell me how many Health Extra A and B choices you were able to have on the old Red and Green Slimming World diet? I have tried the Extra Easy plan myself, but I just can't get used to it after doing the old diet for so long. It's been some years now since I did the diet but I want to give it a go myself without having to join a group.

I'm a long time member of nearly 20 years, and remember the old red or green days.
You could have 1 or 2 a choices ( you could decide which), and 2 b choices.
Bear in mind that the b choices, as well as bread, cereals, etc, also included a measured amount of meat ( on a green day) or potatoes/ pasta ( on a red day).
I don't remember what the amounts of meat or carbs were, but it wasn't much.
