Hi all,

I use my HEB for breakfast but I like having soup for lunch in winter. What are the nest low syn soups? I know Baxter’s do one but it’s hard to find info on them. I’ll make my own when I get the chance but like to have a ready made option too as I find making soup time consuming

WW tomato is low syn or my quick soup is 2 tins of toms a tin of baked beans a drained tin of carrots veg stock cube and a pickled onion add a bit of water and blitz don't judge me til you've tried it Grin

Honestly the cock-a-leekie soup on the SW website is soooo easy, and ready within half an hour. I make it then shove it in the fridge to take to work for the week, it's absolutely gorgeous. Plus it's syn free, so winner.

Or even better invest in a soup maker, a big batch ready in 13 mins!

Groovee · 08/11/2019 19:53

Heinz are under 1 syn.

The Iceland SW soups are so tasteless.

Gileadisreal · 08/11/2019 20:20

@groovee what Heinz soups are under 1 syn???

Make your own and freeze it! Vegetables, stock and roast chicken. Blend. Freeze in batches. Much healthier and cheaper than ready made soup full of salt, sugar and additives!

Groovee · 09/11/2019 07:10

Oops it was 3 syns.

I make my own and freeze it as it hate tinned soup. But the syns were all changed on Heinz earlier in the year. Chicken noodle is about 1.5 syns. The microwaveable tomato soup pot is 2 syns.

I think some of the baxters ones are low in sins and the soups are quite nice. I invested in a soup maker, it’s fab as you just bing everything in with the stock and it whizzes it up in half hour! I sometimes add a handful of chopped meat or cooked pasta to them to make it a bit more filling as well.

I like sainsburys carrot and coriander (3 syns) and squash with red pepper (2.5 syns).

Appreciate the homemade soup advice but sometimes it's good to have the convenience of a tin that doesn't require prep, doesn't go off, doesn't need defrosting, doesn't need refrigerated at work, doesn't need good tupperware that won't leak in your bag etc.

I love making my own soup too, and it is much nicer and healthier but it's not as convenient as chucking a tin from the cupboard in my handbag and waltzing out the front door.

Heinz Big Soups (green can) are around 3.5 syns each

florriepeck · 16/11/2019 20:59

Heinz Potato and Leek soup is 3 and a half syns and is filling.
