For everything, including top ups and the like.

And what supermarket(s) do you shop at?

We're just giving this a bump for you, OP. Flowers

About £220-250 for two of us which is breakfasts, lunches and dinners as well as the odd meal out. We shop almost exclusively at Tesco

Pipandmum · 26/05/2019 12:18

£800 for three of us. Includes two dogs and two rabbits. Tesco mainly. Very occasionally Waitrose and M&S as they have some nice ready meals.

Groovee · 26/05/2019 12:31

For 4 of us including lunches for all of us, we spend about £80 a week on the initial shop and £20-30 on top ups depending on what I want to buy.

Tend to shop between Lidl, Asda, Iceland, Tesco and Sainsbury's.

Seniorschoolmum · 26/05/2019 12:35

About £200 for 1 adult,1 child, plus cost of school lunches,

But I probably only drink one bottle of wine a month. And I seldom buy brands.

@LilyMumsnet thank you Hun!

Great answers so far. I was just wondering because when I followed SW, my shopping was about £400 a month for a family of 3. I found that this is way too much, but now I am back to "normal" eating, I spend nearly half of that.

I budget £280 for the month (2 adults, 2 children - 5 and 2). I have been struggling with this a little recently so have a few 'cheaper' meals such as jacket potatoes, or an omelette a couple of times a week to keep it under control. It is easy to spend more on SW but I avoid the branded 'must haves' and make sure SW becomes a lifestyle. I also try and stretch one extra adult portion out of each meal (extra veg, grating veg into mince, for example) and then I re-heat in work for the following day's lunch.

About £150 per month for 2 adults and one child. We shop at Aldi though to keep costs down

Faster · 01/06/2019 20:47

Between £120-150 for DP, myself, DS and the cat.
We buy lots of fruit and veg.

MissMooMoo · 04/06/2019 12:46

£200-250 a month for 3 of us,including nappies for the 2 year old.
That is breakfast,lunch and supper.
We rarely have a takeaway

OwlinaTree · 04/06/2019 22:09

About £70 to £80 a week, then maybe a top up at the weekend, so between £320-400 a month? Usually a bit of weekend cafe visits and the odd takeaway too. That's for 2 adults, 2 young children.

Magmatic80 · 04/06/2019 22:12

About £200/month for two adults. We don’t really drink alcohol at home, and buy meat from farm shop. Everything else from Lidl, except one or two random items they don’t sell, which we get from Morrison’s.
