What do you eat in a day?

Sorry, me again,
What do you typically eat in a day in slimming world? I'm trying to go through the meals & put together a daily plan with using the healthy A's & b's, but on a lot of days on my plan I've ended up doubling up, I was just wondering what other people have?

I also have a mild intolerance to eggs, (which doesn't seem to help on slimming world) I can eat them in things, but not on their own or as a main ingredient, so I can't have like quiches, or omelettes ☹️

I often save my A&B's for the evening.

Breakfast is usually fruit and yoghurt or eggs but you have said you can't have them.

Lunch is a salad, soup or leftovers.

Dinners this week is a roast, paprika Pork, Carribean pepperpot Stew, cheesy Chicken Risotto, stir fry, beef and sweetcorn meatballs.

For my healthy extras I make baked oats, porridge, ryvita fruit crunch, bread, Wholemeal pittas, cereal mixed with yoghurt and fruit. Then either cheese or milk at some point or as a hot chocolate x

Breakfast if I'm at work is usually weetabix and milk - sometimes with a banana depending on how hungry I am. If I'm not working I have eggs, ham/ bacon with mushrooms or similar - I use my hexb on bread or a wrap.

Lunch I have salad with chicken or tuna - maybe a bit of cheese if I haven't used my hexa. I sometimes have pasta salads too at work to fill me up. Also leftovers from the night before, so bolognese, chilli, curry etc.

Tea I have all kinds of things - I search online for ideas.

Soaked oats & frozen berry fruits - which defrost, add a kiwi or banana
Poached mushrooms with black kale, cherry tomato & 1/3 tin baked beans - take to work and heat up and have with boiled egg ( not heated)
Left over food from supper

Lunch salad with feta, cottage cheese, tuna, egg, with crudity to start.

This week I made fake Nando rice and am having left over rice with salads for lunch with tuna

The fajitas and Nando’s rice was delicious

Coconut & carrot Dahl
Prawn stir fry with dried noodles
Vegetable dhanks made with butternut squash was good

I find the recipes are generous so scale down and or freeze

Next week I don’t need to cook or shop as have so much in freezer

I am making a big effort to branch out this time around as I normally end up sticking to a handful of staples and I think that's why I don't do well on diets. I usually live off jacket potatoes, scrambled eggs/omelette, toast, pasta and quorn mince, veg sausages and mash.....and that's about it! I'm also trying to make more use of syns in meals rather than for treats.

This week - my first full week on SW:

  • Breakfasts: mostly Weetabix as I find it easier not to use any syns right at the start of the day
  • Lunches - jacket potato and cottage cheese one day, 1/4 quiche (12.5 syns) with salad, shepherd's pie - trying to take more leftovers for lunch to keep them as mostly free foods
  • Dinners - Linda McCartney burger in brioche bun with SW chips; veg & halloumi (HEXb + 4 syns more) shish kebabs; sausage, SW chips and beans; enchilladas tonight made with a tortilla wrap (8.5 syns) and fajita spice mix (2.5 syns)

I have definitely found that mixing it up for dinner has allowed it to feel less miserable and like a diet, and I've even been able to get my OH to have the same dinners too, which is a major challenge for me.

I agree with ivykaty44 about freezing stuff too, that has really helped me as when I want something quick I can just grab something healthy and pre-made and heat it up, rather than keep just doing a jacket potato and ending up bored.

Either fruit and yogurt or porridge for breakfast. Sometimes cereal.

Lunch is usually some sort of salad with meat and a grain.

Or if I haven’t had bread etc already I’ll have 5 corn thins and salad/peanut butter and fruit

Dinner is the easiest, for example in the last week we have had spag Bol with carrot spaghetti, sausage and mash, satay tofu stir fry, jacket potatoes and tuna with salad
