1 stone off for New Year

I'll be 50 early in the New Year and really want to get rid of this extra stone that I have accumulated gradually over the past two years.
So, here I am, 5'4", starting weight 10'6, target 9.5 stone.
My first goal has to be to get under 10 stone as I haven't been there in aaages.
Im trying to think positive and of all the delicious things I can eat. My downfall tends to be not enough veg, and wrong snacking (things that the kids have sneak into my hand). My biggest downfall of all is the weekends when it all goes to pot with drink and meals out but I have at least 3 quieter weekends ahead so I have no excuse!
Hoping that putting the commitment here acts like group as I am really struggling to see when I could get to a group again.
Anybody care to join me?

Can I join too please? I'm 13.13 1/2 & also 5ft 4in so significantly overweight & need to change things to stop going over the 14st mark & try to get to where I should be!

@HannahnotAgnes I am 4ft 11 and my starting weight was 13st 5lb! I was definitely overweight for my height. Good luck on your journey! We're all in this together x

How many of you going to group? Would it be helpful if I posted slimming world recipes? Or food log diaries so you can print and use them?

I'm not going to group as I struggle with the timings but I'm beginning the think I'll have to as this week I "may" have lost two pound. Less than I hoped and they're the 2lb that I gain and lose most weeks (they were back this morning)
Difficult week due to dad's dementia but I can't let life get in the way.
My problem is that I don't eat my Syns as I don't have a sweet tooth but I don't then count things like a wrap when I've already had my healthy extra b or the fajita seasoning I used and can't be bothered to check, I just think it can come out of my Syns. (Likewise g&t! Blush)

Another Monday and another metaphorical kick up the arse for me!
Has a pretty good weekend food wise, I drank (g&t and wine) Friday & Sunday but I'm generally "being good". Still don't seem to be losing weight though grr

Well done User - it will start coming off so just stick with it.

I weighed myself this morning & now I'm 13st 8lb so lost some since last week but I fluctuate so much & it doesn't feel like a true loss. Plus I'm still eating too much crap & can't seem to stop myself. I need the embarrassment of group to actually get a grip on things but struggle to get to class.

Hannah, when everyone applauds you because you have gained a pound that's embarrassment! trying to stick to my eating plan as much as possible to avoid humiliation!!!

Ffs, this morning I'm a pound on form where I started a fortnight ago and 3lb on from last Wednesday!!!!Angry
Clearly I'm not sticking to it properly despite having given it a good go.
Think I really am going to have to go to a group (unwillingly)

I know I'm a bit late but thought I'd join, I had a baby 8 week ago and I rejoined slimming world 4 week ago and so far lost 8lb! I started at 16 5.5 now 15 11.5 and would like to be about 14 10 by Christmas, it's really hard with a new born and a other half who doesn't know what a vegetable is! Weigh day today although it's been a bad week as I've eaten out twice and I don't usually eat out so I will be happy with a maintain this week! Good luck everyone!

Welcome Sausage, but I would say though that you've got a brand new baby - don't put pressure on yourself regarding anything else

Tonight's dinner is Pork in Black Bean sauce with Noodles 😊

Feeling noticed this week, after a terrible weekend in Ireland off the wagon so to speak at a wedding.. I ate and drank far too much!

Back in the gym today and back to clean eating since Monday. I'm hoping to at least maintain at weigh in on Saturday 🙌
