SW on social media/YouTube/IG

Does anybody else follow other Slimming Worlders on Insta/YouTube? I recently started watching some SW YouTubers and also a bit on instagram but i don't full "get" that tbh... it's too hard to keep track of things and they seem to disappear/get lost in my feed. Whereas YT is quite straightforward.

Which YouTubers do you like/recommend? I have a few i watch and i especially like Jane Day (who is a target member; she normally just posts one longish video a week but always food for though) and the Budget Slimmers (a couple of mums (married to each other) who deal with SW on a very tight budget -- lots of tips for how to get the best deals etc. and their daughter is adorable). I also quite like some others but it can seem a bit cliquey? Nevertheless, i watch...

HAs anyone started a channel? It seems like a great way to stay accountable, but i think i'd be too shy.

Yeah, i agree with her about that bit but she didn't need to make snide comments about other vloggers' appearance!

Danielle does not look well. I think she's lost too much tbh

She's on IG, not sure if she's on YT to be honest? I like her clothes but she looks really delicate

I'm sure she's nice and she has good style but she looks v fragile and gaunt at times. She's one of the few on IG I'd say looked a lot better pre weight loss.

This thread was started asking for recommendations for SW YouTube and Ig accounts. Please don’t let it turn into a bitch fest as there are other places for that.

I vlog On youtube to keep myself accountable and to hopefully help and inspire others. I believe it’s one of the things that has contributed to my weight loss journey being successful this time.

To read a thread where someone says my face looks gaunt, where is the positivity in that? I’m 5ft 6 and maintaining at around 11 stone so I’m at the top end of a healthy weight. I could post elsewhere on here and I’m sure someone would say I should lose more.

Anyway I highly recommend Jane Day, trim with tan, Katy Jayne, Gemma’s journey, Weigh in Time, Bayles1986SW and many more

@eeyoredebbie sorry, i think that was me who said you looked a bit gaunt -- that was a careless choice of words. I started this thread BECAUSE i find watching the SW YT community so positive and inspiring, and I wasn't trying to be mean at all, but I can see how what i wrote could be hurtful. I certainly don't want to contribute to or condone any of the bitching and sniping on this thread. Or, equally, any of the more negative/bitchy things that happened qithin the YT/SW community last weekend. I was quite shocked at how sneering and mean some people will be given the opportunity. There's no need!

I like the livingstones and also Debbie’s world. Those are the only 2 I watch. It always helps me stay motivated.

I also find fopperholic to be very vain. I also find her very patronising and feel saddened she uses those children to get more likes. Everything seems about making money- I cringe when someone asks her where something is from as I know the answer is always ‘I’ll make a vid’ as YouTube = money. No love we just want a quick answer. Still it finds the £500 skincare and 2 prams
