12.5lbs left to go and want it gone within 9 weeks, looking for a buddy/ies

Hi

I've been slogging away at SW for a good few months now, 1.5 stone down and 12.5lbs left to go to target.

I had set myself the goal of my birthday as I move into a different 'age bracket' and want to start off as I mean to go on. Mentally this is a bit of a thing for me IYKWIM?

I've lurked for a while and have read the main support thread but thought I would see if there is anyone around who is getting close to target and wants to buddy up for the final push?

I worked out I need 1.3lbs off a week to G2T by my birthday, if I aim for 1.5 I should get there even sooner.

Anyone want to join me? Or Anyone with some helpful tips?

I have overnight oats as my hexb, or weetabix or wholemeal toast with poached eggs. So have it at breakfast.

calzone · 25/03/2016 22:51

I use HEB on cereal which I eat in the afternoon with fruit and yoghurt......

Or 3 slices crustless bread

Peanut hifi bar

Prunes

Baked apple and mincemeat.

Don't waste hifi bars on HEB when you can syn them for 3 Syns.

Hackedabove · 26/03/2016 08:43

Dinner last night was at 8.30 so not too late. Just trying to have sensible portions to aim for a maintain.

Totesgawjushun69 · 26/03/2016 23:19

Calzone, possibly a dumb question, do you buy the bread crustless or do you cut the crusts off?

Feel I'm doing ok so far this week but family lunch tomorrow, also going to do what I can and go for small portions.

Really want to crack this- started looking at new clothes, in particular trying to find some holiday outfits and I'm planning on buying size 12- it's been a long time since that was my size!

I still have size12 jeans from when I did WW that I want to get back into, and particularly a dress which which I bought at that time.

The bread was mentioned by our consultant, but I've not seen it to buy, although I haven't really looked as yet, I usually have one piece of a 800g loaf if I'm having bread as my hexb. I know it's not as much as 2 of a 400g but don't have freezer space to keep my own special bread without it going off.

calzone · 27/03/2016 20:15

Kingsmill crustless bread. Tis new and Tesco sell it.

Hackedabove · 28/03/2016 12:36

Probably not my local small tesco that stopped selling undividual packs of popcorn I my children loved.

I really have no idea how I'm going to get on at weigh in, didn't have too much chocolate, but haven't got control of the content of my meals so just trying to not eat too much so I maintain.

Totesgawjushun69 · 29/03/2016 13:57

Good plan hacked, aiming for a maintain after Easter/ being away is positive.

SW has really helped my mentality with regards to 'blowing it' I find it much easier to get back to it when I've had a few days off, whereas when I've tried to diet by myself in the past and inevitably i'd scoff something unhealthy I would just think 'well I've fucked it now there's no point carrying on' but that's changed now.

I've been really sticking to plan this week, my home scales say I've lost so fingers crossed for a decent loss tomorrow.

Good luck to the Wednesday weighers!

Weigh in wasn't on yesterday due to Easter Monday so had to go today instead - even with me not being 100% I am glad to say I lost 2.5 pounds 😀

Was 11 stone 3.5 pounds

Now 11 stone 1 pound

I am hoping to be 10 stone something next week :-)

I have been going to the gym lots recently - bad news I completely destroyed my hands from doing kettlebell snatches 😁 had to do a leg day today - no deadlifts for me - hopefully they will be okay on Thursday when I plan to train again :-)

Good luck everybody 😀😀

Hackedabove · 29/03/2016 21:12

I'm not going to get back in time for my Wednesday am weigh in so going to have to do Thursday after work.

Totesgawjushun69 · 30/03/2016 14:16

2.5lbs off!

Really happy with that.

The only stumbling block in this coming week is going out for dinner at the weekend, just going to have to be 100% on plan the rest of the time.

Clarebare your exercises sound hard core, is it new to you?

Good luck for tomorrow Hacked.

How have you got on Calzone?

Well done Totes that's a really solid loss.

Hackedabove · 31/03/2016 18:48

Went for my weigh in tonight, 1.5lb gain.... But was wearing jeans not my usual gym kit, so hoping not as bad as it seems.

guerre · 31/03/2016 18:57

What is an HEXB please? I was imagining some abbreviation for hot cross buns, but couldn't work out how that fits with salmon! Blush

Well done to all on here- you've lost so much already! I'm sure you'll get to those targets in the near future Flowers

calzone · 01/04/2016 00:21

HEB is your healthy extra b choice of bread or cereal or dried fruit.

I have grape nuts or weetabix or crunchy bran.

Gained half a pound which is ok.

Have only lost 2.5 lbs since December so have changed my target to 11stone 3lbs and am upping the body magic tomorrow.

guerre · 01/04/2016 01:12

thank you calzone!

Totesgawjushun69 · 04/04/2016 18:41

You might end up with a really good loss this week then Hacked! Fingers crossed!

Meal out over the weekend was fun, I had fish so stayed as 'on plan' as I could.

Getting nearer to my/ the target week, I need a decent loss this week to make up for the gain in the first week. Could do with another 2.5lbs off but my home scales are saying it's more like it will be 1lb.

Are you going to reasses when you get to 11.3 Calzone or just aim to maintain?

OP posts:
calzone · 04/04/2016 23:19

Well I want to be 10s 7lb but my body is not playing!!!

I figure if I stop at 11s 3lb for a while, I can maintain, get my head back in the game and have a good go at a lower target.

Hackedabove · 05/04/2016 18:46

I'm not holding out much hope for tomorrow, had a night away Saturday, so dinner, breakfast and lunch out, far too much wine Saturday evening Blush

Next week also not good, away in a hotel Sunday to Wednesday.

Need to write off the next week too... Hoping I can at least maintain and go again when we get back next week.

Hackedabove · 06/04/2016 15:20

I had 3lb off! Not quite sure how that happened, did gain 1.5 last week, but still creeping down the numbers...

Glitter2707 · 06/04/2016 21:07

The last few pounds is always so tough! Can someone tell me about these overnight oats? I have heard a bit about them but not entirely sure what they are. Are they nice? Where can you get them?

Hackedabove · 06/04/2016 21:19

I do 35g Quaker porridge oats layered with a vanilla muller light, strawberries and blueberries. But can use any 0%fat yoghurt and fruit. The oats are hexb.

Glitter2707 · 06/04/2016 22:02

Ah so just normal porridge oats, where does the overnight bit come from, do you leave them to soak into the yoghurt? Thank you

Hackedabove · 07/04/2016 18:45

Yes you leave them in the fridge overnight.

I do them the night before but I think some people do a few days worth in one batch.

calzone · 07/04/2016 23:19

I gained 1.5 lbs. aaaaaaaaargh.

Now 2lbs to target but doing the scan bran challenge this week.
