It's really hard to tell because you don't know how much oil, cream etc things include and there's plenty of examples of low calorie food being high syn or higher calorie food being low syn.

I would just choose whatever I want and try to leave the things that are obviously not SW friendly like white bread and chips etc - most restaurant portions are so large that you are full way before you have eaten all the meal anyway.

They say on the day of eating out, try and only eat free food for other meals in the day, so you have all your syns and healthy extras to play with. But on that menu, there's only a couple of dishes with obvious healthy extras in (the cheeses) so you could still have those. it's only one meal out of 21 in a week, so as long as you stay on plan the rest of the time, it will be fine.

Beef Burger – made in house, served in a brioche bun with chips & a choice of dipping sauce - £8.95 Will probably be fatty meat and the bun and chips will be high syn, so not a good choice

Chicken Burger - marinated in jerk spices, chargrilled, served in a brioche bun with chips & a choice of dipping sauce - £8.95 better than beef, but still high syn if you eat the bun and chips, if you want this, could they swap the bun for plain salad and then you only eat a few of the chips

Fish & Chips - white fish of the day in real ale batter with chips, minted mushy peas & homemade tartare sauce - £9.95 Not a good choice unless you can trust yourself to leave most of the batter, chips and tartar sauce*

Lamb Kleftiko – slow cooked with potatoes, oregano, garlic & rosemary, Served with a feta, olive & red onion salad £13.95 (GF) Probably contains a lot of fat and olive oil, but you will be able to count the feta as an A choice - hard to tell

Crab Ravioli – made in house & served with a clam, cherry tomato, white wine & garlic herb sauce - £11.95 Might be a good choice unless cream in the sauce (but could sneakily count as an A choice)

Pan Fried Seabass - on a chorizo, olive, tomato & puy lentil stew - £12.95 Probably a good choice unless lots of olive oil involved

Pork Fillet - wrapped in sage & Parma ham - served with broad beans, new potatoes & a herb pesto sauce - £11.95 (GF) Probably a good choice if the ham is not overly fatty and there is not too much pesto

Vegetable Paella – peppers, broad beans, artichokes & house smoked tomatoes in a saffron & smoked paprika rice. Topped with courgette frites - £9.50 (GF, VG) Will probably be high calorie as Paella usually contains lots of olice oil. If the courgette frites are battered these will be delicious but high calorie/syn

Tuscan Beef - ox cheek slow cooked with red wine, tomatoes, garlic & rosemary. Served with fragrant rice - £13.95 Might be a low syn choice but may have oil in, also don't know how fatty ox cheeks might be, and is any fat added to the rice

Chargrilled Vegetable Salad – aubergine, peppers, courgettes & artichokes with halloumi cheese & an olive salad - £8.95 (V) Probably quite low calorie unless drowned in oil and can count halloumi as A choice

But as above, I would just have what I wanted and try not to eat beyond being full up. Would obviously have to watch alcohol consumption too!

Just want to add to the above. Don't be afraid to ask for things without sauce/sauce on the side or with potatoes instead of chips. I always look and see what "side" options there are so I can swap out the chips. If a restaurant serves jacket potatoes or new potatoes with another dish, then they should be fine to do a swap.

The pork option looks good if you ask for it without the parma ham and with the sauce on the side.

You do have to accept that there will be syns in everything. It is just making the best choice whilst still eating something you enjoy.

I have been doing sw for over a year now and learnt lots along the way. Dont be afraid to say that you are allergic to fat or oil and cant have any on your food! Restaurants are good at catering for ppl with allergies. I know its a bit sneaky but it works! Ask for sauces/dressings on the side or not at all. Above all enjoy the meal and even if you go over syns a bit just get back on it tomorrow.
