Slimming World and Eating clean, doable?

I've been attending SW for around a year now and have lost 2st 4lbs, not a massive amount I know but I lost 2st in the run up to joining too so losses have slowed but averaging out pretty evenly which I'm happy with.

Due to a change in financial circs I need to cut down on my bills, food included and have decided that to do this I need to stop with low fat yogurts, snacks, milk etc and buy one lot for everyone.

I'm not massively clued up on the eating clean concept but I like the idea of it and if its got to be one or the other I'd rather the kids didn't have masses of additives in their diets.

Is anyone else managing to do both successfully? I worry about being starving without the "free" crap.

I don't claim to be an expert on this but I try to 'eat clean' and do slimming world. In effect this means for me:
Eating homemade granary bread (60g) or oats (35g) as my healthy b.
Eating 28g of lovely proper cheese as my HE a and skimmed milk for tea synned.
Using syns for olives, nuts etc.
I have Total 0% Greek yoghurt instead of mullerlights but if I was on a budget I would have any other fat free yoghurt.
I'm afraid that there is a lot of marketing influence in SW but not as much as other diets. I find now that I can search for almost any savoury dish online and make it SW. For example take any Jamie Oliver dish and leave out the glugs of olive oil!

Hope this helps.

Thanks its good to know I'm not on my own with this thought then!

Its the fat free/reduced fat stuff that bothers me because of all the crap that's added, I suffer from migraines and have kind of narrowed it down to sweeteners so I'm planning on switching to full fat milk, cheese, yogurts etc as a starting point and will see how it goes.

I had full fat milk, cheese and natural yogurt (instead of muller lights) when I did slimming world as I found I needed less to satisfy me, and I don't like all the additives in things like mullers. Still lost weight!

I'm more au fait with the old school green and red and think if you do the 2/3 of your intake super free (veg/ fruit) and eat lean, unprocessed meat / fish and pulses / beans etc it works brilliantly and is 'clean'.
I think SW can be a healthy and sustainable WOE but I didn't like the whole processed Muller yog, Mugshot noodle type stuff which was promoted so heavily in some of the group chats. It works for some though and the health benefit of lower BMI in spite of high intake of 'unclean' food must tip the balance for most obese folk so won't knock it too much.
I think the Slimming Eats site is inspiring for SW WOE.
