Slimming World
Was at target - two years on it's creeping back :-(

I lost about 4st in 9 months with SW back in 2012. I'm 5'10' and went from 15st 8lbs to an initial target of 12st 3lbs then to 11st 8lbs. Lowest weight was a bit too low and I settled for ages at being happy as long as there was an 11 in front!
This worked for a good 18 months but it started creeping back on. I'm now 12st 10lbs. I feel as bad as I did when I first started SW. Lots of my clothes won't fit and I REFUSE to buy bigger ones.
On one hand, I'm determined to loose the 10lbs but on the other I just can't get fully back on track. I've got into maintaining rather than gaining - which is better than nothing - but I can't seem to take that step.
I feel terrible - a complete failure and a big blob. My self-confidence is at rock bottom. I can't easily get to a group anymore due to work commitments. Can someone give me a kick? And maybe suggest how to get a good first week to aid the motivation. The idea of 1lb a week isn't helping! Once I loose the first albs, the clothing crisis will abate so that might help how I feel.

You've done it before so you can do it. First off get rid of the crap in your cupboards, make a shopping list (presumably you can remember the plan without going to class) and write a meal plan for the week ahead. Find somewhere with a set of proper scales that you can easily get to on a Monday for regular weigh-ins (Boots, leisure centre etc) , look back on photos of you at your largest to remind yourself why you need to address is NOW and get back on plan.

Thanks phoebe. I know the mechanics of what I need to do - and I do meal plan anyway - it's just the willpower and motivation to take the last step from maintaining to loosing.

Oh i hear you. I lost 2 1/2 stone 2 years ago with SW and was a healthy 10 4 for my 5'9" size. This made me a lovely size 12
A year or so on i have taken my eye off the ball, and i am too afraid to weigh myself but reckon im 11 3 ish. I am stuffed into my jeans. I can't wear my blazers because they finish short and show my bum which is so chunky now!! I feel so bleugh. My face is puffy too.
I am back on track since yesterday. I am not going to rejoin SW as the meetings drag on and on but i will weigh myself every monday.
I made a vat of veg soup yesterday. Froze half and refrigerated half. I'm going to it whenever i need 'something'. And i had a huge onion cherry tomato and lean smokey bacon omelette this morning. My god it was filling and syn free!
Not sure what to do about sweet cravings yet. I used to rely on SW bars. Hmmm
Anyway, just wanted to say overtired that i am in a very similar situation to you!
Nothing tastes as good as feeling slim (not skinny!) feels. Am i right?!

This sounds so familiar to me,I rejoined sw three weeks ago and I just have no motivation or willpower! I have twin boys wh are nearly 5 and have just started school so I have no excuse to get bk on track,I lost 3st 9lbs before I fell pregnant and now have 2st of it to lose again :( I feel crap my clothes look horrible and m hips are killing me,my downfall is stodgy foods (with pastry lol)

You could easily get rid of 10lb in about a month, up your excercise a tiny bit and do a basic sw diet for a month and you'll be where you want to be
OvertiredandConfused · 09/10/2014 22:20
That's what I'm hoping Blink. I'm almost back on track - still too many syns and not quite enough fruit and veg. Have a long weekend ahead and I'm going to do a really detailed meal plan for the next week.

I am the heaviest I have ever been and have finally started to feel positive about the journey ahead.
Some of the things that have helped me...
Shopping for a new outfit for a friends birthday party. So many lovely clothes that I knew would look rubbish on me.
A quote from pinterest 'what you eat in private you wear in public'.
My DH isn't quite so overwhelmed at work and we have a couple of family occasions to look forward to.
Watching Lynda Bellingham on This Morning yesterday. And realising how lucky I am to have my body the way it is. Iyswim?
And finally, another quote I read somewhere, something like, by Christmas I'll be glad I started now.
Good luck !
