Help me find a new breakfast please :)

I tend to use up my HE B on breakfast, either 2 slices (from a small loaf) of wholemeal cardboard toast with eggs or 2 weetabix with fruit. What can I have that will leave the HE B for later in the day and mix things up a bit? I would try fruit and yogurt but I find myself starving within an hour or so after that :(

Any help greatly appreciated, I'm 1st 6lb into this and I really want to get to target!

This thread is great. I always have Weetabix and a banana.

I've got 2lb to lose until my Club 10. Gained 0.5 this week though. Sad

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 17/04/2014 20:16

Welcome Pete take a seat, we're getting our club 10's at our next weigh in!!!

I've put back 5lb of the 3 stone I lost 12-18 months ago with SW, so I am back on the plan for a couple of weeks. Had the cous cous thing for breakfast. Yummy! I did it with Onken fat free vanilla yog and apricots. Great for work too. I put the cous cous and boiling water in one of those microwave soup mug. It was cooked and still warm when I got to work 45 mins later, mixed in yog and fruit at work.

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 17/04/2014 20:42

Thanks Boo. We will do it. I am determined to resist all Easter chocolate and hot cross buns this weekend!

BikeRunSki · 17/04/2014 20:54

Erm, random double posting

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 17/04/2014 21:33

I just thought you were double determined Bike Easter Grin

I'm resisting too Pete despite my DH buying me a chocolate bunny

With the couscous can I make it up the night before with the yogurt and the fruit or should I add those in the morning?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 20/04/2014 22:36

I have done, I use frozen fruit so it defrosts overnight and flavours the couscous a bit, I add the yogurt in the morning though.

OP posts:
EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 20/04/2014 23:14

Just made it for tomorrow, I've put yogurt in now, will see if it makes any difference (can't imagine it would)

So how is your week going Pete and Bike ?

OP posts:
EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 22/04/2014 08:53

Right, so after some very scientific testing I have decided that for me it is couscous and frozen fruit in the fridge overnight, add yogurt in the morning :)

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 22/04/2014 09:39

Thanks Boo. Will get some couscous this week. Smile

I've resisted Easter eggs and hot cross buns. Didn't do so well with the pancakes and cake though. I'm weighing in on Thursday evening so I could potentially redeem myself.

I'm going to pray for a 0.5 loss and then go for it next week. I always do this when I get close to an award or going down a number. I'm 12st 0.5/1 lb and I seem to be having a mental block about getting down to 11st 13lb. Once I'm there I'll be fine. Grin Until the next time.

Have you had a good week?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 22/04/2014 20:32

Sooooo, I've resisted easter eggs (mostly, surely the kids wouldn't eat the crumbly bits Wink ) Apart from that I think I've had a good week. Not sure I've done enough for my 1.5 and club 10 awards, I need to lose 2.5 lb for those. I have a dreadful weekend ahead, my little girls birthday and I'm planning on cutting loose and just enjoying it!

Ooh, I'm planning on enjoying it so much I told you twice Blush

I would like to add, I went shopping for a dress today and got one in a size 16 (not been shipped size for about 10 years), except in BHS where apparently I'm at least a size 22 HmmShock

I may need hand holding for my weigh in on Friday- went away last week, not good. Am trying to redeem myself this week but am not holding out much hope.

I have just lost 3 stones but only by half a pound so a gain will take me back under 3. Am quite scared that it will be a big gain.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 22/04/2014 21:04

Ok, you still have 2 days Nishky, you might be ok. I can imagine how amazing it felt together your 3 stone, we will hold your hand for Friday!!

OP posts:
Nishky · 22/04/2014 22:09

Thank you! It was amazing- I have 10ibs to go to reach target. After 10 years of trying and failing to lose weight.

A friend I haven't seen for a few months came round today and she was so impressed and told me I looked amazing, so I will hang onto that if Friday is bad.

Off to bed now, I only realized tonight that there is a whole SW topic Grin

The discovery has made me very happy

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 23/04/2014 10:00

Aww, but compliment is always a good thing to hold on to :)

Just keep going, it might not be that bad!!

Good luck at weigh in Everything.

Nishky well done on losing 3 stone! Amazing! Don't worry about a gain, I had lost 2lb 6, then had to go to a group 10 days after my last one as couldn't get to weigh in on my usual day. Gained 6lb. Was fine as I'd been totally off plan. Went back to my usual weigh in day, but that was 10 days after that weigh in and expected another lb or two, but had gained another 5.5lb! So in 3 weeks 11.5lb!!!! Shock I was gutted and cross with myself, but two weeks on I've lost 9lb and am back on track. Whatever your gain, as long as you keep going to class, you'll get to target.

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 24/04/2014 11:56

Well not a gain, I lost 1.5lb of the 2 I put on, so still need to lose 1lb for my club 10 and 1 and a half stone awards. Not a chance this week, it's my little girls 1st birthday and her baptism too, so we're having a lovely party (and a take away in the evening so I don't have to cook) I'm hoping a few days with 5 or less Syns will at least keep me at a maintain!

OP posts:
Nishky · 24/04/2014 12:32

Well done Everything - enjoy your little one's birthday such a special time Smile

Thank you Midori - it really helps to hear from someone who has been there. To lose 9lbs in two weeks is fab!

PeteCampbellsRecedingHairline · 24/04/2014 19:50

Well done Everything.

I lost 1lb. 1lb to go until my Club 10. Don't think it will happen next week!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 24/04/2014 23:23

Thanks Pete I'm happy with it. So, we've both got that one pound to go for our club 10's! I would love to think I could eat all the party food plus a takeaway enjoy the celebrations and still get it, but I think I have to manage my expectations on this week! Why don't you think you will get yours?

OP posts:
onedev · 24/04/2014 23:46

Mind if I join as I've loved reading your breakfast ideas?

I've lost 3 stone in total but had lost almost 5 after DC 2 & really struggled to get back to target after DC3 (who is 3 next month Blush). I get close & then seem to put a stone on within weeks!

I put 4 1/2 lb on this week (had a fab Easter but scales didn't think so!) so need to get back on track again now!

Well done on sticking to plan over Easter - v impressive.
