I was planning on joining and now I am having second thoughts. I find it hard to stick to anything long term, I guess I am feeling put off because I think I wont stick to it, but I have always thought the food in slimming world is suited to my taste.

I also think because it seems like everyone is eating good solid meals without fat, compared to other diets where people seem too starve I wonder if I will sucessfully loose weight or not.

I need to loose one stone possible one and a half but no more, so is it still likely to work>?

I joined on January 7th with a stone and a half to lose, 12 weeks later I have lost 13 pounds. I lose around a pound a week but had three weeks where I stayed the same and biggest weight loss was three pounds one week. Food is great you just need to stay focused regarding syns and eat as much super free as possible. Enjoy xx

I joined in December last year and so far have lost 2 stone. I have found it by far the easiest diet to manage. It doesn't feel like dieting to me, just a way of life.

It has provided me with a way of eating without feeling like I am dieting whilst always being aware of what goes into my mouth, if that makes sense!

Good luck

Thank you both for the replies, I will try to attend a group tomorrow. I just think I find things so hard to stick to

I've done a few 'diets'

Firstly slimming world to me isn't a diet, it's a new way of eating. I've lost 2 stone and a bit since new year and I honestly don't feel like I've dieted. I've had a weekend away, take aways, wine, allsorts, kept within my weekly syns and been really successful. It's a fantastic plan!

Wow that's amazing, well done Grin

Can you recommend your best syn free breakfasts?

I feel like I would like to eat syn free as much as possible and save the syns for treats like wine and chocolate if possible.

How much more have you got to loose?

Sorry positively life got in the way for a bit.

I have around 3 stone to lose now so quite a bit.

As for breakfasts I struggle as I can't eat first thing, if I do have a later breakfast it's a good old SW breakfast! Grin

I agree (having done Atkins, WW etc) that this is much more of a lifestyle change & bar counting syns, is really just eating how we should - cooking from scratch, plenty of lean meat, fish & eggs, loads of fruit & veg but with the odd treat if you need it. I see it as follow SW to lose weight but carry on eating the same foods once you've hit target without counting syns (ie if you follow a healthy diet 90% of the time 10% treats isn't going to see you pile on the pounds).

I joined at the beginning of March & have already lost half a stone so it definitely works.
Breakfast for me is usually weetabix & milk (healthy extras so not counted as syns) with a sliced banana or some blueberries; spaghetti or beans on toast (again healthy extra no syns) or if I've got time I fry (fry-light no syns) or grill some mushrooms, tomato an egg & either lean back bacon with all the fat removed or some tinned spagetti/beans plus coffee with milk from my healthy extra a.
