I believe it to be muller light mixed with porridge oats left overnight in the fridge, and eat cold. I have had it, its lovely for a snack, or brekkie!

I make SW porridge using oats from Healthy Extra list, then stirring this up with a grated apple. Cooked it slowly with water for ten mins or so. Add some sprinkle-on sweetner. Much nicer than.it sounds.

I tried this for 1st time the other day & it was lush! You can even add 2eggs & fry it for American style pancakes (youtube magic pancakes)!
Enjoy :-D

Try using milk other than cows' milk for making proper porridge. Almond and hazlenut milk both have fewer calories than semi-skimmed, and add a nice flavour to porridge. They taste less "milky" than milk - duh!
I'm currently tryiing out oat milk - that's quite nice too.
The only one I haven't liked is soya milk.

Koko milk is delicious in porridge, made with coconuts but very low in calories, also good for flavouring curries

Magic Porridge

Mullerlite Yoghurt
28g Porridge Oats

Just mix a mullerlight with 28g porridge oats in a bowl & leave in the fridge overnight.....and enjoy hot or cold, although cold is really nice..especially with a sliced banana.

Could be eaten for breakfast or as a dessert.

There are no syns in 'magic porridge' if you count the porridge oats as 1 HEXB,

But, if you have to syn the porridge oats they are 5 syns per 28g

Not sure about eating it plain but do I do mix toffee or lemon muller light with oats (finely ground ones) mix with 2/3 eggs in the morning and make little pancakes - like Scottish drop scones and have them with banana. Sometimes make up with natural yoghurt and have with banana and syn for a tablespoon of maple syrup

hulahoopsilove · 24/10/2013 14:01

Is it really that nice everyone at my group raves about it but it just sounds horrible cold!!!

vole3 · 27/12/2013 06:29

Need to check with your consultant as to whether having the oats finely ground ie using like flour, changes them from a HEXB to a syn .

Midori1999 · 27/12/2013 17:59

Vole, I don't think even if the oats were ground they would need to be synned because as they're a HE the amount you eat is controlled. You just use them as they are for both magic porridge and pancakes though, not ground.

I make porridge by cooking the oats with water then stirring in asda fat free blueberry yoghurt. Sometimes I have a sliced banana and/or blueberries on top too.
