Hello,So my son was born 9lb 5oz, now at nearly 11 weeks he is 14lb.He is also a very long baby, in the 98th centile. During the night he sleeps in a next to me crib, the issue is in the day he sleeps in a moses basket but is fast outgrowing it. What is an alternative day time sleeping arrangement for a longer baby, I don't want him upstairs as he is too young so need an option so can be downstairs with me to monitor appropriately. Please can I ask not to have a sling suggested, he is too heavy to be carried when asleep for long periods and does settle quite happily, thanks in advance.

The pram?
Ds napped in his pram from newborn until 2 years most days. Meant I could walk him to sleep if needed also

So sorry this post have duplicated, I have reported the other two so should be deleted.

Thanks, I could use the carry cot part of the pram for now until reaches weight limit. Just worries me as he a decent sleeper so unsure about the safety of long periods in the pram

Mine (9lb 15 and 9lb 12) have always napped in the pram. Carry cot then the seat reclined when they’re bigger.

Aww the title of this post really made me smile. I love a big long chunky baby :)
I have put the mattress from the cot on the living room floor rug before, seemed to work well and no fear of them rolling off/ climbing out of anything.

If you have room a travel cot may be an option, also doubles up as a play pen when they are mobile and you need a wee!

I don't understand why he can't be upstairs with a monitor?

Thank you for your responses.
@Flangeosaurus thank you, how long did your two sleep during the day if you don't mind me asking?

@EstellaHanclay haha, it's the only to describe him. Thank you for your suggestion.

@Burgerqueenbee thank you for your suggestion also, deffo need a wee escape plan!

@tedgran personal choice really, I feel at 11 weeks he is too young to be left alone to sleep even with a monitor. I appreciate many may be do this but for me I just wouldn't be comfortable.
