Baby due in 2 weeks and we are really struggling on choosing a boys name. The 2 we have are: Sebastian, Toby or Cameron?

unless you particularly want the views of the sleep deprived, this is in the wrong section!

Cameron will make everyone think it is a homage to our new PM.

I prefer Sebastian, as Toby is slang for willy in Scotland (which causes much hilarity when we pass the Toby Carvery in a local hotel)

I've just named my son Cameron - I believe the Pm is named David.

Sebastian

I live in scotland and have NEVER heard Toby as slang for willy. Toby is definitely my favourite.

Seona1973 · 11/07/2010 16:12

I prefer Cameron and have also never heard of Toby being slang for willy (also scottish)

cece · 11/07/2010 16:15

Cameron means crooked nose which rather puts me off of it.

SkiHorseWonAWean · 11/07/2010 17:22

According to a gaelic speaker ob names, it means hill rather than nose.

Anyway if he rides like his mum and plays rugby like his dad the nose is a given anyway!

JuicyLips · 11/07/2010 17:39

I have a 'Toby Sebastian'. lol so both good names there I'd say.

louisapi · 14/07/2010 11:59

Thanks everyone for your messages.. We are leaning more towards Sebastian, but still have two weeks so it could still change

I love the name sebastian!

WinkyWinkola · 14/07/2010 20:45

Tobias nn Toby

LauraKB · 17/07/2010 22:09

I too am Scottish and have never heard of Toby as a slang for willy. We liked Toby if DD had been a boy but as the surname is Watt we decided against it as his name would have been T. Watt = Twatt.! Just as well given the new willy connotation!
